Finding the Best Mouse Traps
There is nothing more frustrating than having a mouse problem that you can’t rid of and trust me I know. I had mice in my house and tried several approaches including peppermint before finally purchasing an electric mouse trap with solved my problem.
4 Reasons Why I Prefer Electric Mouse Traps
1. Easy to Set up
For me the fact that the trap is self contained and mechanism that traps the rodents is deep inside made it easy to set up. I simply installed the battery and it was up and running in no time. The rat zapper I had purchased also came with bait, which saved the hassle of looking for the best mouse traps bait.
2. Dispatches with Rodents Quickly
One of the most positive aspects of the electronic mouse trap for me is that it kills the mice or rat quickly. In the past when using glue traps I had come home to find the mice still attached to the trap still alive struggling to free itself. In addition to this being unpleasant to see some rodents urinate when trapped and trying to free themselves which can spread disease.
3. You Don’t have to touch or see the mouse
This is really one of the aspects that makes me feel that electronic mouse traps are some of the best mouse traps as I had mentioned before I don’t like to see trapped or dead mice and really I don’t think anyone does. With the rat zapper and other electric traps a light indicates when there is rodent inside. You can then simply get a bag and hold it under the opening of the trap, empty the mouse or rat inside and close the bag without really have to look at or touch it.
4. Long Lasting
When thinking about these electronic mouse traps it is often easy to overlook the benefit of the fact that they can be used time and time again. Compared to some other solutions like glue traps. These traps can go on killing mice without the need to go out and purchase additional traps. Also they can be easily stored when not in use and set up in seconds if you ever have a rodent problem again. I even lend mine out to friends and family when I hear that they have a mouse problem.

Getting Value For Money When Searching for the Best Mouse Traps
One of the determining factors when purchasing a mouse trap may be price. There is a big difference in the price of glue traps and electronic mouse traps. You really can’t put a price on being rodent free, but one of the things I had not initially factored in when considering my electric mouse trap was that it would last for years, while the less expensive ones would need to be thrown out and repurchased. I even get extra benefit from my electric mouse trap by lending it out to any friends or family members that have rodent problems.
Personally being frugal I was initially reluctant to spend the extra money on an electronic mouse trap . I however quickly realized that it was one of the wisest investments I made. I had tried glue traps, stopping up holes, peppermint, which is supposed to drive the mice away, but I would still see the mouse running around out of the corner of my eye. My girlfriend, now wife hates really really really hates mice and was threatening to stay at her sister’s until the mouse was gone. Luckilly after purchasing an electronic mouse trap I was able to catch the rodent.
Now I must caveat this as saying that I am not a scientist and this is just a hunch, but personally I suspect that one of the reasons why the electric mouse trap is effective at catching rodents is that retains the scent of previous mice. As the unit is used again and again I feel that there may somehow be a benefit of having the scent of previous rodents to make future mice less reluctant to enter the trap, but this is just a hunch.
The Secret to Finding the Best Mouse Trap
Ultimately anything that will help you to be rodent free the quickest will be the best mouse trap for you. If you are researching you are on the right path as I feel that the more options you have the more successful you will be. One additional little known tip is to also read reviews on amazon on what has worked for other people. Personally I think that the electric mouse trap
is one of the best traps due to its ease of use, effectiveness, and ability to be reused, however there are other solutions that may work better for your budget or preference.
